What is Form 8814?
 Form 8814 allows parents to include their child’s investment income, such as dividends or interest, on their own tax return rather than having the child file separately. This can simplify filing but may increase the parent’s taxable income and push them into a higher tax bracket. It’s most useful for families with children who earn modest investment income.
